I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: Jamie writes some of my fave romantasy books. They are quick to read, easy to follow, and entertaining as hell. This book was amazing. I loved how it was broken up into the three parts because I felt like I really got to know Roman and Violet completely as a result. If the MC in book 1 was a burnt cinnamon roll, I think it’s safe to say that Roman is a scorched cinnamon roll. This man is obsessive to the max when it comes to Violet. I love a man who knows what he wants and this one straight up gave the gods a big ol’ middle finger and said “I’ll marry who I want” despite tradition and the mate bond. Violet was so sweet and kind. She had a big heart from the start and stayed true to herself despite all the BS boy crap she had to endure. I also loved how she was all about a good time with her pranks. Violet truly was the perfect balance to Roman. Book 3 is going to destroy me, but I can’t wait.

Overall a great book but I lost interest around 80%. I wish I had more understanding of the rebels. But Roman was a sweet/crazy man. And loved that miscommunication was cleared up quickly.

⭐ 2.5 stars ⭐

Just like the first book of the series, this one is also supposed to be a fun, unhinged and light read.

It started better than the previous one, since I liked these characters and their relationship so much more. However, once you get to the middle it feels like reading a longer version of Viciously Yours and I don’t think this book needed that many pages.

Also, I’m still mad that the epilogue of the first novel spoiled this book. I think I would have enjoyed it a lot more if I hadn’t already known all the details.

For such an intriguing title, the darkness was pretty mid. Still hot though

Roman Covington is the most obsessed man in the best way possible!

This man is unhinged for Violet and it is apparent throughout their story.

Their story starts when they are 12 and follows them until they are 25 (plus older in the epilogue). I really enjoyed getting to watch them grow up together but I did feel like it  went on for too long. I wanted to get to them being adults quicker.

I loved watching their story grow and evolve. I enjoyed both of them as main characters.

This series is so good and exactly what I look for in a fun romantasy.

Can’t connect to any of the characters.
