An easy-to-read conteporary romance. I liked the mystery element, and would have enjoyed even more of this as part of the story.
I liked the chatacter of Tom - he's fun, utterly charming, and has a busy life with lots of friends. I warmed up to Phil a bit less; he clearly has a lot of back-story but we don't see a lot of it developed through Tom's POV.
A couple of plot-related quibbles:
- Tom's enthusiastic getting involved with the investigation. I can see how he become interested and a bit invested, but when he started striking out on his own it was a bit odd.
- I wish that there had been more explicit discussion between Tom and Phil about their high-school conflict. A bit more grovelling would have been nice!

Fun murder mystery plumber with the power to find things. Looking forward to see more interesting ways this finding things power works. The main relationship also looks interesting.
It’s not the books fault I really didn’t like it. So for once I’m gonna withhold on ranting and raving about why it didn’t work for me.

I love mystery books and romance novels separately, so the combination is perfect. This series is very English, but it didn't bother me or make it difficult to read. Will most definitely continue reading this series, and I hope the conversation between the two men improves.
