End of the journey, through harrowing trials of heart and body and relationships.

Good series, but I felt like the climax and the resolution were pretty rushed. Would like to see a follow up to the story - after 5 years or so.

Oh my goodness! i enjoyed this last book much more than two other ending books that i've read this year.

there was a HEA! of course my favorite character was . . . yeah, sigh. it never fails.

anyway, this book was much better than the second one. things actually happened and people did things.

it was a little confusing since i didn't refresh myself with the second book before reading this one.

I'm happy with how this one ends. Thank you, Ms. Rossi, for that.

What another fantastic series finale. I really loved Perry and Aria through the entire series because unlike so many other series, they stated together through out, even when life to tough. If you recall the last book ended on a huge cliffhanger with Reverie having fallen, Hess running away to join the Horns, and Cinder was kidnapped by that bitch Kirra and Aria and Perry were reunited after much fighting and troubles.

This book picks up a few days after the last book ended, and we learn how things have changed not only for the Tides and the Dwellers, but all around. I wish that we had gotten to see a little more interaction between the Tides and the Dwellers, but clearly tensions are high and everyone is trying to figure out what the fuck to do.

We have mostly familiar faces in this book, but some of them are back after not having seen them, like Soren which was really exciting. He is a great character that added an interesting dynamic to the group. This book really plays with your feels when you meet characters and learn more about them, like learning more about Sable and Hess and even Aria.

I'm so bummed that the series has ended, and I don't want to give away too much more of the plot, but know that the ending leaves you fulfilled and happy and ughh so many feels. Whatever Veronica Rossi writes. I will read it.

I really loved this trilogy! The relationship between the MCs is a very sweet slow-burn that I enjoyed very much. I was a bit disappointed at how the third book basically turned into a story almost exclusively about Perry told through Aria's eyes. I would have liked more Aria-focused development and plot.

I cannot express to you how excited I was for this book to come out! Under the Never Sky is one of my favorite series. Roar is one of my favorites too and it's so heartbreaking that he isn't a real person. I'd so tap that *cough cough* *sigh*. Also, I am really glad Veronica Rossi didn't pull a Veronica Roth on us, I honestly was so scared to near the ending because I was scared someone I love (Roar)was going to be killed off.
With that being said, I have to add that Into the Still Blue was a slight disappointment. I said slight! Slight disappointment! Let me explain!

The first thing that disappointed me was the pace of the book. The beginning and middle were slow, but once we got to the end it seemed like everything happened so fast. I literally put down my e-reader and stared off into the nothingness trying to wrap my mind around what just happened. I honestly felt absolutely no closure. I am praying for a Under the Never Sky 3.5 so maybe we can get some closure. It feels like Veronica Rossi was just tired of writing so she threw words on a page to end the story in a happily ever after. The ending was over before I knew it and there was little emotion involved.

The second thing that disappointed me was it seemed like no one mourned Cinder. I know I totally spoiled it for you didn't I? But I mean come on we all saw it coming, it was the only way into the Still Blue. Cinder sacrificed himself for Perry and Willow and Talon and all of the Tide tribe because he loved them, he had finally found a place where he belonged, but in the end Rossi didn't show any mourning for Cinder, at least not like I would have expected. His death was sudden too and just breezed over. One minute he is alive then the next he isn't and we moved on to the next problem. Rossi could have done Cinder a little more justice than that, I mean he willingly gave his life for his new family.

Okay so the last thing that I was disappointed over was Roar's story. I am not going to lie, I am in love with Perry, yes, I will not deny that, but if Rossi some how made it so Aria and Roar got together I think I would have sung a sonnet of joy for them. Like I was the only one who saw the chemstry between them in the last book! It makes me wonder if Rossi might have decided she was going to kill off Perry and put Aria and Roar together so they could raise Talon together and be one big happy family, but for some reason she changed her mind the last minute and gave Perry and Aria a happily ever after whilst leaving Roar all by his lonesome. It's a good thing I am not Veronica Rossi because his story would have been so different! Apart of the ending that made me feel like there was no closure was Roar's story. Perry and Aria got their happy ending but I wish we could have gotten a glimpse father into the future to see how Roar ended up.

Like I said this is one of my favorite series, I have the whole trilogy on my Kindle and plan on buying the paper copies too. I am happy with the ending but I know it could have been better. Rossi is a great author and I am grateful she blessed us all with a wonderful story with wonderful characters. Thank you Veronica Rossi for a wonderful series!

3.5/5

It was nice for the series to come to an end, but all in all I just felt….disappointed.

I was glad to finally see the Still Blue, yet it seemed like all the hype for it built up to that one moment and it…kind of…just…fizzled out. We know that it’s paradise, but I think a little more description could have glorified it a bit more. I think there was too much focus on the fact that skies were free of aether that the island itself got left out.

Aria was still a badass, though! I did like that she had a small weakness: Her insecurity about her messed up arm. It made her seem more human. Roar was very flawed in this book, too. His grief over Liv overtook him, and it kind of twisted him. I hated seeing him that way, even though it was realistic.

I thought the identity of Loran was very interesting. That was the one thing that shocked me in the final installment, because I had completely forgotten about
Spoiler her father
, so I didn’t see it coming. That was a nice addition!

While I still enjoyed this one for the most part, the reason it earned a lower rating than the other two was because I was completely underwhelmed by the ending. When I finished, my first thought was, “That’s it?” I finished feeling unfulfilled and unsatisfied…not a good thing, especially for a series finale.

SpoilerI thought the fight scene with Sable was over WAY too soon! He was made up to be this big, bad, almost immortalized guy, and then Perry comes and WHAM BAM! Sable’s dead! Wooo!! Um, no. I wanted a real fight scene! I wanted to doubt for a moment that Perry would win. I wanted the stakes to be higher.

I also wasn’t happy with Cinder’s sacrifice. I knew it was going to happen, but when it did happen, it was too fast and I felt nothing. I feel like his sacrifice was glossed over and forgotten. Yes, they name their new town after him, but still. I feel like that should have gotten more attention.

Ein solider Abschluss der Trilogie, der aber kaum Überraschungen bereithält.

It was a nice conclusion, but the book didn't exactly do anything, if you know what I mean. I like the whole concept of the book, the writing is also very good. I liked the two first books in the series, but this last one just didn't do it for me.

What I liked best about this novel is the beautiful redemption of characters that have done horrible things in the past , but ask for forgiveness and are forgiven . I think it made Aria a very strong heroine when she was able to show forgiveness and kindness to others . It was quite a beautiful message . Cinder's character broke my heart , and so did Roar's on occasion . I hope there is a spin off series featuring him or better yet , Soren ! I thought he was just as hilarious as Roar and the interactions between them made me laugh out loud :)
