“I hadn’t ever thought that a man could love me in the same way my friends love me; that I could love a man with the same commitment and care with which I love them.”

Navigating love and life as a woman is truly the most confusing journey that is somehow both unique and uniform at the same time to all women. A very endearing read for the modern lovesick lady. Recommended for any woman going through a life change or just searching for validation in life. The writing style worked really well for this story, as we see Dolly as a fun-loving wildcard, so her storytelling follows suit. I was rooting for her growth throughout the whole story. It took a few turns for Dolly, but it made sense because staying true to yourself was the most admirable theme overall. I also am a firm believer in having a core group of friends. I love women and I’m nothing without my girlfriends!

You might begin reading this book and think: I have nothing in common with Dolly Alderton. But by the end, I was slurping up everything she had to share about friends, love, and life. It resonated with me at a meaningful nexus in my life, and I am grateful for her words.
