A great prequel to what appears to be an exciting pnr series. However, the Kindle edition is FULL of editing issues.

I've read the Lux series and loved it. The Covenant series has been recommended to me and I have a feeling I'm going to love it just as much.

Half-Blood is next.

Daimon was a great prequel read. A nice short story that gives you more of an insight into the story of Half-Blood. Definitely a great opener for the series.

Daimon starts off with Alex and her Mother. It tells the story of what happens right before she gets back to the Covenant. If you want to read Half-Blood definitely pick up Daimon because it will give you a little more insight into Alex and her Mother while they were on the run.

It will also make you want to read Half-Blood all the more! I loved Half-Blood and read Daimon after I read Half-Blood. But if I were to have read Daimon first I would have been dying for Half-Blood. Jennifer L Armentrout is an extraordinary author with an amazing talent of sucking her readers into her world and making it so we never want to leave. I was sad that Daimon was so short I know that it was a prequel but I love Jennifer's character's so much that for every minute I get to spend with them is just another great minute of reading!

This was the first series of JLA I read. Absolutely loved this series. The plot was amazing as It was a unique twist to Greek mythology. Also one of the only books that have described the underworld as a nice place to be for the most part.

The forbidden love but we don't give a shit concept is what I am here for!

Okay, so... This book is BRILLIANT. In less than 100 pages you get sucked into a new world, full of mysteries and danger.
The protagonist, Alexandria a.k.a. Alex, is a fierce, funny, awesome character with some witty quotes. She's someone you'd definately want to be. Although she's been through a lot, she still remains strong.
Then, there's Aiden. Though he isn't in the book, just from Alex's descriptions and thoughts you fall in love with him.
(and since he does make an appearance in the first chapter of Half-Blood, which is at the end of Daimon, I can say that there will be a lot of swoons :D)

This story is different, at least to me, cause I haven't read much about gods and semi-gods etc., and was definitelly a book that I needed. :D

So, yeah, 5 stars. And this is a prequel. Just imagine Half Blood then.
