I think it was a very good book. It was a good prequel and it made me want to continue on with the story. It took me about half an hour to read and complete it. I just flew through it. I am planning on ordering it when I get home from my holiday and reading it when it arrives. Good book with fantastic characters: I don't like girl characters in books that much but I enjoyed reading from Alexandria's perspective and enjoyed her fierce personality. It wasn't a fantastic book; it was a short prequel but I definitely enjoyed it and will continue with the series.
I praise Jennifer L. Armentrout for coming up with different monsters and creatures and makes it seem like they actually exist in the real world; not a lot of information overload. I read it as an ebook because I didn't bring books on holiday this time and I liked that I could read the book and flick back to the first page where it said how to pronounce words.
Overall - 4 Star review from me

This short story was awesome!
I really liked seeing her with her mother before everything happened. And how she was in the human world. Her and Matt ahahah what a wussie she defended him and he calls her a freak. Idiot.

Una historia corta que si bien es entretenida, me pareció innecesaria. Nada de lo que pasó en estas 100 páginas es novedad para los que ya leyeron el primer libro de la saga. No entendí mucho el objetivo de este contenido extra.
This novella is the epic beginning of what I am sure will become a fantastic series. Alex is a character I am in love with, her personality, attitude, and even wicked sense of humor. The world-building for this novella has daimons, purebloods, half-bloods, and I can't wait to discover it all. Definitely a must-read I am sure the information here will become clues into the rest of the series.
Grabbed my attention to read Half Blood, but like this really just feels like a long prologue.
Quite good introduction but bit too short to have a precise opinion!

Daimon is a great little teaser prequel to introduce [a:Jennifer L. Armentrout|4476934|Jennifer L. Armentrout|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1290636579p2/4476934.jpg]'s new series debuting in October 2011.
The best way to describe this is Percy Jackson for older teens/young adults. I really enjoyed the Percy series (and its new spin off) so this one is right up my alley! It's fabulous; Armentrout writes Alex so well. She's just so snarky and tough, yet vulnerable at the same time. It's a difficult character to convey, and this little prequel is a great introduction to the series.
I was surprised by how much action is in this story, but that's a good sign for the rest of the series I hope! And Armentrout writes the action sequences well, which pleases me since suffering through a poorly written fight scene can just be painful.
And there's just enough mystery to catch the reader's attention and ask for more! I pre-ordered my signed copy of Half-Blood and that is one book I cannot wait to get my hands on!
