I had forgotten how long winded Prince Rillian is. No one else in Narnia is as loquacious and it gets old quick. I had forgotten how much I love Puddleglum though and if I ever get a pet frog that will be it's name.

I’m not quite sure why I feel the need to rank them, but I think The Silver Chair is my equal second favourite, along with The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Eustace, and his school friend Jill, are running from bullies when they find themselves pulled out of England and sent on a quest. For a companion, they are given one of my favourite characters, Puddleglum, and together they muddle their way through; relatable, real characters, making mistakes and trying to be faithful. It is very much of its time, which happens to suit me, and a lifelong comforting and encouraging companion.
