Book Title: Fall With Me Author: Brooke Montgomery
Series: Sugarland Creek #3
Star Rating: ♾️ Steam Rating:🌶️🌶️🌶️
This book was everything I wanted it to be! I cannot remember the last time I started and finished a book in one day but I could not put this down!
Please check your trigger warnings before reading.
Spoilers Ahead!
Ellie is trying to become one of the best Barrel Races, so she turns to Noah, one of the best trainers to help her, unfortunately that help also includes Noah’s brother Landon who Ellie despises for reasons we find out later on.
Landon is the middle child of the Hollis group, he oversees all the breeding at the ranch and also helps his sister Noah out with her training. And he is absolutely smitten with Ellie from the beginning even though the hate coming from her is as clear as anything 😂
One thing I love about Brooke’s writing is that she takes you back to the beginning of every relationship, so if you’ve read Stay With Me you know that it ended with a 😱 moment and I have been dying to find out what happens next. Little run down; Ellie gets sick at one of her events and falls off her horse and hits her head. She wakes up in hospital with no memory of Landon at all!
But Landon is there the moment she wakes up and she immediately gets a crush on him. The whole situation was so funny, Landon was so unsure what to about but Ellie was determined to know him, since she literally has no memory of him. And I loved watching them become actual friends. It was such a slow burn for them but once they got closer and gave into being in a relationship, Landon was hesitant because he knows old Ellie hates him and he doesn’t want to get his heart broken again if her memory comes back. Honestly the amnesia was a blessing Ellie because she finally got to see who Landon really is and it makes her question why she would’ve hated him the first place.
I know I’ve probably given too much away but there is so much more to their story and I could go on and on but please just read it! It has the perfect hate to love, the best banter, an amazing slow burn that goes heats up deliciously! I honestly wish the book was longer, I loved them so much!
I wanted so much more from this book. Landen is my favorite Hollis and I was so excited for his story. I felt like the book went nowhere and ended so fast. There was room for a plot twist or something big to happen with Angela dating Gage and it didn't come. I stilled loved their story and I love them both I just wanted so much more and was not satisfied.

🎧 Audiobook Review - Reread for ALC (August 17th, 2024) 🎧
I was lucky to receive an ALC from Brooke Montgomery for Fall with Me and listened to this audiobook in one day. Aaron Shedlock and Stella Hunter did a great job bringing these characters to life. Aaron Shedlock was the perfect Landen, and he showed how sweet and charming he was. Stella Hunter did a good job showing how feisty and ruthless Ellie was. I enjoyed their performance and definitely recommend the audiobook.
My issues with Ellie and how she treated Landen for most of the book still stand upon reread, and I think the amnesia should have happened near the beginning, instead of halfway through the book. You can see my original review for more details.
Thank you to the author for providing the ALC

I definitely enjoyed the second half of the book more than I thought I would. I stopped for a little bit about halfway through because I wasn’t super entertained, but once I picked it up again, I found myself enjoying the rest of the story - I basically binged the rest of the book. I think it could have been more messy in terms of the resolution of everything but it wasn’t as messy as I was anticipating/thinking it would be. I think that was a good choice because I feel like it would’ve been too much had things gotten too messy between the characters. Although I feel like there was kind of a mystery/suspense element to this romance I don’t think it played as big of a role in the plot as it had in book 2 of this series, but there was enough of it to add a little bit more to the story/plot. I think this was a very sweet story but I think parts of me don’t find it super realistic, especially in terms of the like resolution of it all. It felt kind of rushed and not fully explained as to why Ellie chose to believe Landen over her cousin (Angela). I feel like we don’t fully understand the whole dynamic between Ellie and Angela and what exactly made Ellie realize that Angela was the one that was manipulating her. I understand that Ellie got to know Landen in a way that she hadn’t before, but I feel like she didn’t really have Landen’s side of the story - he only gave her like a brief version of it and not like full details of everything. I feel like part of the resolution was the testament to Landen’s character, which she got to know over the few weeks she had lost her memory and couldn’t remember why she hated him. However, I feel like there’s a gap in plot for her reconciliation between what she remembered and this new side/information that she has about Laden from spending time with him -I feel like Ellie remembered and then shortly after Landen was there and there wasn’t a lot of time for her to spend some time reconciling what she remembers and what she has learned about Landen.
