Fall With me was the 3rd book in Brooke Montgomery's Sugarland Creek series. I loved the last 2 books, and I was highly anticipating Landen's romance. This one had a crazy setup, with a dislike to lovers and amnesia trope.
Ellie is a barrel racer, and she is 100% focused on her career. She has been training with Landen and his sister for 4 years, but she hates Landen. Landen has been trying to win her over for years, and he has been pining for her since he met her. However, she gets in an accident and wakes up with no memory of Landen. She no longer hates him and actually pursues him. Landen is able to see a whole new side to Ellie, and they start to date, but they are worried about how she will feel about him if her memories return.
Ellie had reasons for hating Landen, although I thought the way she treated Landen was crazy. Landen was a sweet golden retriever hero who was so sweet and flirtatious with her. Yet Ellie was constantly cold and rude to him. She refused to tell him why she didn't like him or even hear his side of the story, which really started to irritate me. I could not get behind her and how she treated Landen.
The other issue I had with this book was how long it took to get to the amnesia part of the story. The amnesia was already teased in the previous book, yet we still had to wait for half of the book to get to it. That means we were reading about Ellie hating Landen for most of the book. I felt like we needed to get to the amnesia earlier in the book so we could show them falling in love. The romance felt super rushed because it took too long to get there.
I did love seeing all the side characters, and I wanted more Grandma Hollis. She is my favorite! I think this is a great series, and I am excited to get to the twins' books. I also loved Ellie's relationship with her horse, Ranger, since I am a big horse girlie.

This is the 3rd book in the Sugarland Creek series but can be read as a stand-alone. I haven't read the first two in the series and didn't feel lost at all. I will definitely be catching up with this series, though, because I completely fell in love with all the side characters. The Hollis family was amazing!
Ellie has hated Landen for over a decade. Ellie is a barrel racer and needs some more training to get her to the top. She ends up getting accepted by Landen's sister, and for the next 4 years, she gets the training she needs, but she can not stand Landen. No matter how nice he is to her or how much he flirts, she shoots him down at every turn. He has no idea why she hates him so much, and she refuses to tell him, but after an accident during a barrel race, she loses some of her memory and all traces of Landen. She begins to fall for him, but what is going to happen when her memory returns and she remembers why she hated Landen so much??
Wow, this story! The prologue had me in tears! This was such a heartbreaking story, but I loved how it all weaved together! Amnesia trope was a new one for me, but I really did enjoy it! I loved the banter between Ellie and Landen. I loved how much Landen cared for Ellie even when she was hateful towards him. You could tell that some of their interactions really did hurt him, and that just broke my heart for him. I couldn't wait to see how this was going to end if and when Ellie's memory came back, and I was more than happy with the ending!

I enjoyed this more than I expected to. I found it odd that Ellie didn’t tell Landen why she hated him when he clearly had no idea, but loved that Landen kept pursuing her for 4 years. Ellie’s relationship with Ranger was so sweet and I loved that when she couldn’t read to him, Landen read to him (and Ellie) for her! There were some loose ends that felt like they were tied up too easily, but overall I enjoyed this story.

I don’t know what Brooke puts in these books but it’s basically crack. I’m loving this series so much. There are moments I want to cry but then moment I’m cracking up. The banter between the siblings is hilarious and reminds me of my 4 siblings. The drama between Landen and Ellie had me on the edge of my seat wondering how they were going to go from Ellie 100% hating Landen to being a couple, and even after an accident that made Ellie lose her memory, I still didn’t know how she was going to come around. This book was so good and I can’t wait until Waylon’s book.
Aaron and Stella were utter perfection. Their narration bringing Ellie and Landen to life was so good.
I love Sugarland Creek and every story Brooke bring us from there. Landen and Ellie did not disappoint! She was a spitfire who didn’t cut him any slack. I can’t wait to see what Brooke brings us with the Twins stories.
Y'all. Your girl here has been sleeping on 𝙱𝚛𝚘𝚘𝚔𝚎 𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚐𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚛𝚢 books! This is my first one and holy wow! I can see why people say if you love 𝙴𝚕𝚜𝚒𝚎 𝚂𝚒𝚕𝚟𝚎𝚛, check out 𝙱𝚛𝚘𝚘𝚔𝚎 𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚐𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚛𝚢. This was powerful!
I adored Landen. Bless him, he was a cinnamon roll when it came to Ellie! From the moment he said "fall with me", I knew he fell hard, fast and obsessively. He was very much all cowboy and so much fun and I was there for it!
I had a bit of frustration with Ellie in the beginning, but as her story unfolded, I understood her so much more. I felt all her hesitations, her anger, her pain, her love.
The banter between these two beautiful characters was so funny at times! I chuckled so many times through out this one! It started off as a hate banter (Ellie truly brought that on strong!), but the more they spent time together, the more their banter was coming from their flirty chemistry and then it was on!
𝐴𝑎𝑟𝑜𝑛 𝑆ℎ𝑒𝑑𝑙𝑜𝑐𝑘 brought his A game with breathing life into Landen Hollis. He has a way with nailing the funny banter and he didn't miss a bit with this one! 𝑆𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑎 𝐻𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟 once again did a fabulous job with Ellie Donovan's character. Together, these two were perfectly casted for this duo!
While this book is filled many humorous, cowboy fun moments, it's also filled with many moments of heartache & pain, so please check the trigger warnings. It was beautifully written into the story and truly lent depth to what these characters went through.
Beautifully done, 𝙱𝚛𝚘𝚘𝚔𝚎 𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚐𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚛𝚢! Beautifully done. I am now a forever fan and can't wait to read more!
