“This moment is ours.
And since it might be the only one we’ll get, I’m selfish and greedy.
I don’t want to share.”

I am still giggling. This was such a fun way to start off October! It was light, quick, and such a fun read. All the Hocus Pocus, y'all. All the Hocus Pocus.

Oh well, i enjoyed it overall but sometimes i kept asking myself "what am I reading?".

It's a quick kinda sexy book; supposedly a hocus pocus fanfic, but I'd rather not to think about that while I read, because (1) it was a little uncomfortable ruining my childhood characters haha and (2) the misspelling of Thackery Binx ~Zackery in the book~ made me a little mad every time I read his name wrong.

It's a nice quick read, but I wouldn't expect too much of it.

Fun and Quick!

It's a quick read, I enjoyed the Halloween theme (especially since it's my favorite holiday of the year). I don't read a lot of Paranormal Romance, but I found this one to be highly entertaining. It's cute, knowing how much Zack cares for Dani and he does super cute things for her.

I do wish his "ghostness" was explained better, though I wouldn't expect for realistic situations and explanations, since it's paranormal. Anyway, I had a fun time. It's a great in-between for my historical romance binge.

for its genre: 4/5
in general: 2.5/5

rep/visibility:
- none, but there was one queer-inclusive line which you know my hawk eyes picked up on and cherished

reader health:
- femme protag is feisty but has a female friendship which I didn't expect and did appreciate
- some inclusion of jealousy and ownership
- a lot of consent-related reflection in the thoughts of the characters which made reading feel safer

education: n/a

writing style:
- present tense first person is always a ride, but I was impressed the author was about to pull it off
- while I think I like conversational narratives, I wasn't keen on this one

characters:
- I didn't hate the femme protagonist
- I did roll my eyes too much at the masc protagonist's thoughts

plot & world-building:
- I had fun with the supernatural world-building; it was believable and interesting
- the ending was super predictable, but not in a bad way?
