I liked this book, it was quick, and it had some surprises. I was a little confused by the end of the story…
As always C.H. writes an addictive book, I had my hands on it whenever I could.
Although the plot is interesting and she never does the same twice, I, while I was reading it kind of, remind me of November 9. You probably wonder how, but the thing that Owen knows Auburn before they actually met, it bugged me. But I am glad that it was nothing like what thought.
I must say that some things I didn't see coming. Which is good, I really don't enjoy predicting the story.
As the pages were ending I could anticipate that the end would be rush and that something that I felt before in her books. But it didn't feel like that.Ireaaly enjoyed the ending.
I did think that the idea of using confessions to inspire his artwork was interesting.
I couldn't completely wrap my head around a force a relationship that she kind of felt repulsed, I understand the motivation but I just couldn't do it.
I did kind relate to Auburn when I was her age I was kind of naïve like her, so my old me was there rooting for her.
I'm really hoping to reach the 5 stars in one of Colleen's book soon. They are so addictive and well written, they usually make me cry and smile, It's one did overwhelm like the others though. That's why it's only a 4.

This book was SO good! One of my favorite Colleen Hoover books! I LOVED the story and the characters. Colleen Hoover did an amazing job at making me feel connected to the characters. Loved the ending of this one and the plot twists were great too! 100% recommend to anyone looking for a great read!
Blown away! Again..I want to confess my undying love for the genius that is Colleen Hoover...this book, though different than the usual CoHo story, it still possessed words that connect you to the tale and grip your heart so tight you can't remember what is real and what is fiction. Amazingly woven tale of confessions, secrets and lives destined to intersect...fate!

auburn and adam’s love was beautiful. it’s heartbreaking they never got to see it through but her and owen were everything!
linda and trey were the worst and i felt so sorry that auburn had to deal with that. between linda keeping AJ away from auburn and trey being grossly obsessed with her, i felt for the girl.
i loved seeing the romance between auburn and owen bloom. i loved the idea of owen’s gallery being paintings inspired by these random confessions. it was all just so beautiful and amazing and my made heart smile.
10/10 would recommend this book to anyone and everyone! one of my favorite reads!
p.s. shout out to owen the cat. the cat lady in me favored this character the most

Mild spoilers.
In many ways, I disliked the content of this book, but never the experience of actually reading it. There were times I thought it had earned a high rating, but there were too many things that grated at me.
I absolutely hated the way Auburn was portrayed as a delicate flower needing saving. Sometimes it works, but not in Confession. She lost her virginity in her teens to the love of her life (who died of cancer), but at twenty years old she needs to look up examples before being intimate with someone or understand how romance works? I just didn’t buy it. The shaming of Auburn for meeting up with a man she was interested in, the way she was controlled by Adam’s family.. she was just a disappointing female protagonist and I hate that it has so much appeal.
Also while Trey and Owen were written to be polar opposites, I found them to be somewhat similar at times. Too controlling and intense, yuck.
The whirlwind romance between Auburn and Owen also didn’t have the substance to feel real. While I’m all for a passionate experience, there was nothing truly there except Owen waiting to meet her again. The twist was sweet enough, but it fell flat. It’s hard to believe Auburn didn’t recognize him.
I did like everything to do w the artwork. Very nice.
I’ll read Hoover again. She’s addictive, despite it all. I hope she writes in some stronger females.
