AMAZING! I expect nothing less from Colleen Hoover. Every book of hers that I start I say "ok there's no way lighting can strike twice" but this is like her 5th lightening strike! How is that possible?! Hopeless and Losing Hope we're two of my all time favorites of hers. Then Maybe Someday and Ugly Love blew me away. To say this women is a writing mastermind is an understatement. So now I sit and wait until the conclusion of Never Never is released.
This is the second CoHO book I've read. It sucked me under so deep, so hard and OMG (ha, see what I did there) it was brilliant. Problematic, yeah. But kinda brilliant. I might be a fan.

This was interesting to say the least. I liked the plot but the twists were predictable. The characters were pretty basic but the romance was cute. This isn't really what it says on the back it's honestly just a lot of random stuff that throws you for a loop but it's fun!
Had to take it down a star because the ending felt way too rushed.
Classic Colleen Hoover. Expertly crafted tension, intriguing plot, tugs at the heart strings, overlapping character arcs, and that ending? Perfection. It was so much better than I even imagined. (Get ‘em, Auburn!) This was probably a 4.5, but I didn’t cry, so I went with the 4. Only the Hoover books that have moved me to actual tears are getting the 5. Excellent storytelling, quick read, highly recommend.
Happy 2 am! Shoutout to my therapist for recommending this to me after I finished Verity.
I have not been this addicted to an author's catalog since The Hunger Games. And I read those in 5th grade. I'm 22.
Is it carefully written? No. Is it flawless? Hell no. Does it tell a good story? Absolutely. 5 stars from me.
I feel like Confess is Hopeless's cousin, in a way. The two have very similar tropes and vibes overall.
I will also eat up anything that paints cops in a bad light.
I think I might take a break from her books though for a little bit because they are so intense. We'll see what I read in the meantime, though. Very tired though so this review is short and to the point.

This book was a huge disappointment. I liked the first chapter, hated the rest up to around 65% of the book, tolerated it up to 90%, and liked the last few chapters. After I was done with the last chapter, I wasn't quite satisfied with how it ended.
I wasn't feeling the romance between Owen and Auburn. It happened too quickly for my taste. Even though Owen had liked her for years, Auburn didn't know that. She didn't even know him. Owen creeped me out at times. He was too intense from the moment he met Auburn properly, and Auburn didn't care.
All things considered, this book wasn't the worst book out there. It just wasn't great, or even good, for me. My favorite character was Adam and, well, he wasn't around for long. He and Owen's relationship with his father are what made this book bearable for me.

Auburn finally got her boy back and was able to start a relationship with Owen, but I felt like we didn't get to see enough of their happy ending.I wasn't feeling the romance between Owen and Auburn.
