This book felt like a really long never ending sentence. This author has a tendency to take forever to get to the point. I kept wanting to read ahead to figure out what was the point of the story but I didn’t. I always have to finish every book I start but I almost wanted to toss this one aside. The only reason I’m giving it two stars instead of one is because I liked Owen. The rest was a no for me.
The ending made this story worth reading. Otherwise there was way too much telling instead of showing. The characters describing every single thought and action of each other was unrealistic and boring. Lots of potential but not my favorite coho.

Another great read of Hers 🥰
i think this may be one of my favourite colleen books. this was written so beautifully and using fate as the base of the two characters relationship literally hurt to read. everything was written in a way where i could also feel their pain and emotions. also the dynamic reminds me of fezco and lexi
Update: 2024, Ik I read this 2 years ago but I want to change the rating from a 4 to a 3 star
This was good. It was a 3.5 closer to a 4 than a 3. I enjoyed the concept of the paintings and confessions and wished that was explored more than the relationship plot in this book. Auburn was annoying to me she got on my nerves and i just didnt care about the struggles she was facing.
I read this book while in my Colleen Hoover phase. Didn’t mark it as read so just doing it now.
I don’t remember much of this book.
I believe it was single parent?
art theft?
jail time was involved.
i remember this being one of my favourite of hers at the time. but i honestly don’t remember much.

I actually read this much earlier and I was embarrassed to put it on my goodreads, but i can’t lie to the public any longer. if you value your braincells, don’t read this.
okay not one of my favorites from colleen. i almost didn’t want to finish the book after 90 pages, but i had extra time today and just decided to finish it. i love a soulmate connection type of trope, but only when i can genuinely feel it. i dont like when books have that, but they just describe the characters saying pretty much that they’re just drawn to each other. i just didn’t feel the love between owen and auburn. then w adam’s brother… that came out of literally no where. no foreshadowing really he was just weird. i wish we got more. and the whole book we knew that owen has known from auburn before and we dont find out til the end and he isn’t even telling her about it??? i feel like if we got that it would just feel like so much more incredible. and i didn’t love auburn. we didn’t get much from her really and the thing w colleen books is that the female main character i feel most of the time isn’t as strong and the male mc.
but the thing i did love about the book is the ending. it was so heart warming how adam is how owen got his love for paintings and confessions. that was beautiful and i didn’t expect it
