Lightly amusing story about very rich people - a subject that interests me because it is such an other world.
"Amusing," is the word, because this world is interesting, and I like the descriptions of daily life and the emotions and sensations experienced. It's been described as "voyeuristic," and it is, which I don't have a problem with.
It's not "funny," though - which this book keeps being billed as.
I didn't find it funny at all - I found it bittersweet and sad. The "wit" are people referring to remains a mystery, but I did enjoy being a part of that world.
My favorite dysfunctional rich family: The Royal Tenenbaums - which isn't a book, but could be.
Finally, there's a relationship in the book - no spoilers - that I morally disagree with, but the true depth of its problem is glossed over, which is odd.

3.5 Stars- Don’t read this book if you don’t like character study novels. That being said it was interesting hearing the 3 different perspectives between the sisters (one is a SIL). You could skip this one unless you want a slower read.
