book #3 from my personal shelves. this was a good, light-hearted read overall, but it felt like it leaned too heavily on tropes and stereotypes. it was nice for a relaxing, fun little read with meh writing. also, it felt like it really praised wealthy people who choose to donate a small portion of their money and dismisses the idea that they could also work on addressing the systems that make this money so essential to other people. i feel like the author also tried too hard to relate to younger readers
It was a good, quick read. Kind of mindless with unreal plot resolution, but it satisfied a reading itch and I liked the writing style, so I was excited to pick it up to read.
I feel like the intentions of this book were to make the reader constantly cringe or get annoyed.
This followed a rich family in Brooklyn New York. It detailed their snobbery and privilege throughout the whole book. I didn’t get attached to any of the characters because they were all flawed and annoying.

I liked it, nothing crazy and didn't have a huge story line but was an easy, fun read and I always favor a book that takes place in NYC
I remember now why I gravitate to romance books or mysteries. They actually have plots. If this is the trend of fiction, it’s a hard pass from me. If I didn’t have book club tomorrow, I wouldn’t have finished it at all. Whew…thank goodness it was from the library & I didn’t waste money.
