Good for an easy/fluffy read while still having a bit of substance around classism, etc

the author made having money seem like the most boring and non-aesthetic thing ever. also tried to tackle like every social issue but felt like she was just checking boxes rather than actually meaning anything. (white author writes white woman who is upset that her husband experiences racism.) overall just not well written and every character was annoying
emotional funny hopeful lighthearted medium-paced

maybe this genre just isn’t for me, i don’t know. but it seemed like there was no plot to follow just random events surrounding a ridiculously wealthy new york family and their first world problems. just unbearable characters, not one i even remotely liked. some of the greatest battles fought valiantly within this book are about overbearing in-laws, gaining 5 pounds, having an affair, staining a dress before family photos, and prenups. this seems like a light, fun read but personally i just found myself getting bored.

someone told me they didn't understand the book and in all honesty i don't think that i did but then again i think i did? i love books with multiple pov's so this was great. I wanted more that is how much i enjoyed this book. fav character would have to be Sasha!
