I cannot fully express how "Under Your Scars" made me feel. This book didn’t just tug at my emotions; it impacted my heart, soul, and entire being. I’ve read dark novels before, but nothing quite like this. The depth, rawness, and pain the characters endure affected me in ways I didn’t expect.
While some reviews are less than favourable, I’m grateful I gave this book a chance. We all experience stories differently, and I appreciate that I took the time to dive into this one. It’s a dark read—heavy and intense—but the story, plot, twists, suspense, and spice were masterfully executed. This isn’t just a steamy novel; it evokes every possible emotion: grief, love, anger, hope, despair, and more.
The characters are phenomenal. Silencer (Chris), Angel (Elena), Elliott, Bethany, Caroline, and The Executioner are all vividly developed and painfully honest. Some chapters shattered me, while others made me smile despite the darkness.
The ending was tragic and unexpected. Not every story concludes with a fairytale, and this one reminded me of that truth in an unforgettable way. Ariel N. Anderson's writing was fearless, haunting, and memorable. I can't wait to read more of your work.

I am a huge dark romance fan and a lot of the time I don’t think books are actually dark when someone says they are. This one was actually very dark. Check your trigger warnings. This was violent and graphic. The characters experience trauma and this was not a light read with a perfect happy ending. I received this book as an ALC and really liked the dual narration. I loved this book, even if it was a tad bit too predictable.
DNF - was excited to read because i wanted something dramatic but the first 7 chapters were painful and had me rolling my eyes. the FMC has no logic.

This book has broke me down, pieced me up together and shatter me all at once.
This book was dark. Not dark romance kind of dark but dark tragedy. There are still trigger warnings and mmc is morally grey but the tragedy in this book shattered me.
