Ooooh, this book is steamy, intriguing, and downright delicious.
Ruthless Kings picks up right where Wicked Liars left us at the breathtaking cliffhanger. There are so many questions, the mystery plot thickens, and we are no closer to finding out who attacked Jazz.

Jazz is recovering from her brutal attack and doesn't know who to trust. The list of suspects is longer than the people she can keep close. Pushing everyone away she tries to go back to her aloof self and push everyone away, but the big flaw in her plan is the king of Windsor Academy, Kingston Davenport. He's become a barnacle caveman who refuses to let her out of his sights, but to earn her trust he needs to begin spilling some secrets.

Kingston may have had the funds to pay the men who attacked Jazz, but he soon proves that he is too attached to the girl who has taken over his entire mind, body, and soul. He pulls out all the stops to find her attackers, while still also keeping some of his own secrets. While Jazz could be the key to bringing down his father and hers he's getting too emotionally involved to continue using her to bringing them down.

Who is behind the attack, who is spying on Jazz, and how can they bring down these powerful men? There are still so many ends to tie up and will everyone make it out alive? I'm so excited to the next installment and to have my questions answered.

Jazz is unsure who to trust after her attack. In order to gain her trust, Kingston reveals his suspicions about their fathers. Jazz continues getting closer with Ainsley and finding her way at Windsor academy. She must figure out who to trust since it appears anyone like her attackers and the people who hired them are very close.

—this story is meh. Nothing in particular stands out from other bully romances that include terrible wealthy parents. I am a huge fan of Kingston though. He’s your stereotypical alphahole. Although the story is interesting, I’m not going to continue the series. So many of the mysteries were answered in the second book, there’s nothing really pulling me to book 3.

Things are heating up in so many ways! The story is getting darker, especially in relation to the dads. Peyton has only gotten worse. And the relationships are scorching as well. The bonds between the friend group have strengthened. Kingston and Jazz have defined their relationship. And things with Bentley have been resolved… in the best way possible. Wow, that man is so hot! I seriously can’t wait for his book because fun, flirty, yet strong guys with a dark past are my kryptonite. But first, I need to see how things play out in this story. I have a feeling it’s only going to get darker. And better.

This series is utterly addictive, I read Wicked Liars and Ruthless Kings in one day. I literally spent my entire day wrapped up in the Windsor Academy world, nothing else existed outside of this world.

Ruthless Kings starts where Wicked Liars left off and from there Jazz and Kingston’s connection burns hotter and the emotional connection between them becomes deeper. The questions with little answers and the answers they seem to find bring up even more questions.

Spending the day wrapped up in this world led me to a bunch of nail biting, breath holding, heart racing page by page I was more immersed in this world than I was with reality.

I love the relationship that Kingston, Bentley and Reed have the unwavering loyalty and knowing that while they are going through a time that nothing in their world makes sense there’s no question in any given situation that they will have each other’s backs. They have always had Ainsley included in their group but Jazz has become just as important to the group and boy, does she need people in her corner.

I can’t wait to read Fallen Heir not only to get all the answers and to see some justice served but also because I loved being inside this world with this insane storyline that keeps you guessing, the ultra-protective alpha men and the feisty women that won’t bow down to anyone’s demands.

An interesting continuation of the series, but it definitely has triggering elements and some subject matter that may be triggering.
