As a prequel to “Evocation”, we were supposed to have more insight to Rhys’ and Moira’s relationship and how they started out. 
What this novella made me sure of is that these two have no chemistry at all. I don’t know why they’re together. It seems so forced, my God! On their own they’re not bad, but as a couple … nope. Absolutely not. 
Another thing this made me sure of is that I cannot stand Moira. She just thinks so highly about herself, while making out Rhys as one of her subjects (which is highlighted with him always calling her Goddess, while she calls him Wizard, like he’s part of her court).

Great story, terrible relationship
Imagine asking someone to find out whats wrong with your magically infested house just to block them from your lives when they tell you what the problem was. Make it make sense.
