I absolutely loved this duology! It’s been a few days since I finished the book but I am not wanting to move on from this world just yet. The story was so cleverly written. And I was rooting for the characters and the love story all the way through! There is a good balance of characters to love, and characters to really dislike, which works for me! :)

The ending saved my rating from dropping below a 4 star. The majority of this book INFURIATED me though. 😤 All the characters were making one wrong decision after another and I was yelling at the book like the characters could hear me. 😭 For what it's worth tho, the author wrote at the end that she started to lose her way with Alyce and finally was able to come into her character again towards the end. As frustrating as it was, it went well with the book, as it seemed that was a big theme in the story anyhow. All in all, I'm glad I own them, and I very much enjoyed, but I can't say this duology will be going on the favourite shelf.
