I loved it so much there’s like literally no plot but it’s perfect. If you like spending time in a lovely, imaginative, expansive world with characters that feel like true friends, this book is for you.

This is a delightful slice of life road movie across the galaxy, with wonderful characters, friendships and worldbuilding, but NOT for those looking for a plot

Oh, what a joy. After finally picking this up after roughly 10000 recommendations, I can soundly say that everyone is right, this book rules. I love a found family trope, I love science fiction that is loosey-goosey with the science portion of it all, I love it when humans are not the pinnacle of existence. It's just a beautiful book all around.

i genuinely fucking ADORE this book. it’s legitimately one of my favorites of all time. it’s fun and well written, with a wide range of characters and incredible worldbuilding. like,, the amount of smart and interesting concepts included in this universe is amazing. i saw that a lot of other commenters where complaining about the lack of conflict, which i get to a certain extent, but i actually really enjoy the almost slice-of-life style plot for a relatively large portion of the plot. this book is very character driven and focused, which is one of my absolute favorite things in a book. i might come back later and elaborate more on what i love about this book & my criticisms for it, as well as maybe add elaborations for content warnings, but this is all for now
