TEAM ERIC. That's really all I have to say about this book, and why I unashamedly give it four stars even though I thought the actual plot part was kind of not that interesting.
Of all the books in the series that I've read so far (up to #6 at the moment), this one is by far my favorite. The storyline moves along at a great pace, and I never once felt bored or annoyed. I'm SO over Bill, so his lack of presence in this book was refreshing - I think Eric is so much more entertaining, even under the peculiar circumstances in this story. Sookie doesn't get hurt nearly as much as in the last few books, which is also a welcome change. Some fun new characters are introduced, as well as some returning favorites. All in all, a really fun read!

Sookie finds Eric on the side of the road. He has absolutely no idea who he is, where he is or who anyone else is. Sookie and the Fangtasia vampires collaborate to hide Eric in Sookie’s house while they get to the bottom of who took Eric’s memory. At the same time that Sookie is dealing with that situation, her brother Jason goes missing and Sookie has to try to solve that mystery as well… and hope that Jason is still alive.
Dead to the World is, by far, my favorite Sookie Stackhouse novel so far. I devoured Dead to the World. Along with these books getting better as the series goes on I also think Sookie is getting better as the series goes on. Her character development continues on with each book and I really enjoy that. Often with characters stretched over multiple books they end up staying the same and just the plot changes, but that is not true at all for the Sookie novels. Also Alcide was back I absolutely LOVED him in Club Dead so I was so happy to have him back.
The most surprising part of Dead to the World for me was the fact that beginning this book I could have taken or left Eric… I ADORE him. I absolutely love him and if Bill never appeared in the next books, I don’t think I could care less. The side of Eric that was displayed in this book devoured by heart whole. I hope this is a glimpse of a new, amazing Eric we will see in the future
I also loved that Charlaine Harris is introducing even more paranormals as the series goes on. Up this book? Witches! I couldn’t have been happier to find out there was witches in this one, they are by far my favorite paranormal so I was ecstatic that Sookie now had to deal with witches as well!
Once again Charlaine Harris does not disappoint, I can’t wait to grab the next book!

Lo mejor de este libro son, sin duda, Sookie y Eric.
Al ser una relectura, no han habido muchas sopresas durante la lectura, pero la trama estaba bien hilada.
No tengo suficiente material para hacer una reseña extensa. seguramente será express.

I simply adore this series. In a humoristic way the author gives you everything you crave: gorgeous men, romance, drama and mystery. And not to forget vampires and shapeshifters ^^
In this book, Sookie and Bill are having troubles. What better way to get over a guy than getting mixed up in a fight that involves werewolf witches high on vampire blood... I'm beginning to believe that Sookie is the most unlucky girl when it comes to getting mixed up in others bussiness. Just a hunch though ^^
Even though the book is written in the same light language as is the style ofthis series, it always have a bit of seriousness. Sookie must go through her brother going missing, a break-up, desires for a man she knows she'll never really have and a very angry ex-girlfriend. All pretty tough topics.
I'll hurry on to the next one ^^ yay!!

"If you'd asked me, I would've had a hard time tracing the steps that had led me to this dangerous place at this dangerous time. I was on the edges of a battle in which both sides were pretty dubious."
This just became my favorite installment in the Sookie Stackhouse series (so far!). It's definitely the most action-packed book, and I loved seeing Sookie stand on her own, without boring Bill to hold her back. I really hope the books continue in this direction!
A coven of witches (and some were-witch hybrids) invade the area around Bon Temps, while Bill decides to make a sudden departure to Peru, on a job for the Queen of Louisiana. As he exits Sookie's life, Eric reenters - she finds him confused and alone by the side of the road, newly plagued by total memory loss, and decides to take him in.
The Eric she cares for is nothing like the character from the previous books. He reveals a generous soft side, gifting Sookie money, caring for her, and supporting her after her brother Jason mysteriously disappears from his own home.
With Harris, no character is safe. I think that's what keeps her writing so interesting: she's not afraid to drop any dead weight through her characters. When they're no longer useful, she either kills them off or writes them out, and I feel that's paid off majorly in keeping this series interesting and refreshing.

I think I enjoyed this one the most so far from the series. I love how you can just read it in one sitting. It is an enjoyable light read.
Oh my god, why am I still reading these terrible books? I love True Blood so hard, but these books are just the worst. Book Sookie is even worse than TV Sookie. Book Bill is somehow less irritating AND less likable than TV Bill. I was trying to get a nap in before my flight, and as a way of making my brain shut down, I went through all of the characters from the book, one-by-one, and considered how they were different from their TV counterparts. I fell asleep at Tara.
