Normally I adore Scarlett St. Clair's books, but this was just a mess. The writing was not fluent and the quality of newbie. Isolde just seemed like a shallow, one dimensional character in this book, and Andrian got way to little time with how much development he went through. Honestly dont know if I am going to continue this series
This book had way too much going on. And the ending? Def preferred the first book of the two
DNF'd. I liked the first in the series but nothing about the plot stuck out to me, so by the time I came to read this I cared nought about the plot, and the characters were not engaging enough to continue reading.
This is a real downer to write but I didn’t enjoy this one. I’m so sad, I loved this story and this second book was just difficult to get through. The smut was fab but the story was lacking. The story is what made the first book so good. I was so excited for this and I’m sadly let down.
so disappointing :(
this book was info dump central. Too much info over short periods of time, then I was bored.
I was so confused the whole time and honestly annoyed. There were times where it would jump to a flashback with NO WARNING or indication that it was even a flashback!
I was confused about when things were happening, who was who and did what with who in each timeline.
Plus then she became some sort of monster shifter thing? But also a vampire, but also a witch? Like pick a category babe and stick to it.
Anyway I’m sad and this series is not nearly as good as her Persephone x Hades series which I loved.
