I am disappointed with this one. I flew through book one - it was predictable and repetitive but still a lot of fun. Queen of Myth and Monsters is just a mess. Adrian became so annoying I started rolling my eyes every time he did something shitty (again). Isolde just fought with him all the time, but no matter if they were fighting or making up they always ended up in bed (or against the wall or just on the ground 🙄). And every time Isolde got hurt or upset executions followed. I honestly started wondering if the MCs have really anything in common except their shared past. Killian did 180 on character development, only it wasn't really a development, he just stopped being a jealous ass and instantly turned into a loyal general/Isolde's BFF. Some parts of the book were actually interesting, like Sorin's and Daroc's relationship but that got messy in the end too. There was some plot but I kept forgetting about it and it seems the author did too until the last part of the book when everything unraveled and still was poorly explained. In the end I didn't care about any of it.

Don’t know why I went back for another because the weird twist of her being his former love, reincarnated still didn’t make sense. And the betrayal of basically everyone was dumb. There were only like 2 people at the end who didn’t betray anyone.

Underwhelming. When the book finished I was surprised because I never really felt like it started. All the character traits she had in the first book seemed to disappear. The tension lost all stakes, and it all felt very superficial
Enjoying my time, enjoying the characters, enjoying the world.
UPDATE: Been over a year while I waited for the next in the series. Too much time has passed and I don't really remember anything. Had fun while I was here, but not likely to continue the series.

i have no clue how to rate this book but my god did it have my emotions in a twist
Just couldn’t get into it. Other books were way more appealing. Maybe I’ll try again later.
✨ Queen of Myth and Monster ARC Review✨

Welllll… she did it again. I am in love with Adrian & Isolde yet again. I am a sucker for vampires and witches so this series with the gods, fighting, and tension was EVERYTHING. Adrian has the ability to read Isolde’a thoughts and personally I feel like that would get me in so much trouble

Great book 2 in this series! I like how the conflict between Asha and Dis is becoming more relevant in this series. I also enjoy the strong female characters and Isolde’s growth as she’s learning more about her previous life. Looking forward to book three!

Not as good as the first, but good nonetheless! Warning cliffhanger ending. Lots of smut but sometimes it felt a little rushed and a little less emotionally charged. Will definitely continue reading, but now I'm left waiting for the next one to come out.
