How the mighty fall.
I loved the last book. The only thing about this one was the sex was still hot. But everything else was subpar. The plot is all over the place and nothing makes sense. Her connection to her last life still makes no sense since this isn’t set in a world where people often have past lives. She turns into some werewolf thing AND a vampire AND she’s a witch? Come on. And what’s with everyone betraying everyone else? Isolde is also suuuuper bitchy and annoying. And if the tables were turned and it were Adrian slapping her around we’d all hate him. They’re a terrible couple. Genuinely. The sexual chemistry is great like 75% of the time but sometimes it’s out of nowhere and it feels like the author was just feeling horny herself and wanted to write some more porn. All the characters are shitty, literally nobody is particularly likeable, everyone is ridiculous, there’s time jumps to past lives AND premonitions and neither of them are really explained well and so you’re just lost until it becomes apparent that it’s not in the current timeline…I was really disappointed in this book. I recommended the first one to a friend but will definitely tell her not to bother with this one.

Way too much sex, not enough storytelling. Fills like it's a book about Adrian and Isolde fighting, apologizing, and having angry sex, then they'd repeat the cycle. I got really bored and couldn't finish it. I don’t think I’ll read the next one.

This story suffered from The Curse of the Second Book Shits. I cannot stress enough how old and boring it is to have a strong female lead be so fucking unsure and selfish in every fucking action.
Appreciation for the message though. And will be reading on, because that's what we do.

Sorry but this book sucked. I really struggled to get through it! The plot was all over the place. So much so it felt like the author was incapable of completing a single thought. Additions to the narrative/ plot would come out of nowhere, make zero sense, and then the two main characters would fuck. Overall I was really disappointed.

This book did not live up to tge quality of the first book. Where is the tension? The direction? A cliff hanger, perhaps? It felt a bit flat and unfinished.
fast-paced

Okay that was full of struggle and strife. And left off on a cliffhanger where the next book won't come out until next yeeeear
