3.25 AVERAGE

I initially rated this a 3, but after thinking more it's a 2. It's never okay to hit your spouse/partner and Isolde hits Adrian in anger often. If roles were reversed, people would be outraged that he hit her. It shouldn't' be a double standard and it's not good. Also, I just read this like 2 weeks ago and can't remember anything that happened other than they fought THE WHOLE BOOK. Why was there so much arguing? Fighting and fucking are the only things that happen. It's completely different from the first book and feels like a different author wrote this all- together. I absolutely loved the first book, but it was difficult to finish this one. Also again, it's not okay to hit your spouse in anger, why is the fighting romanticized?

3 1/2 ⭐️ Some interesting twists in this second installment. I’ll be interested to see where the thir book takes the story. PS. I kind of love Killian in this book.

Maybe if they stopped fucking every 2 pages maybe the story would actually progress

This was better than the first book but man could've been better. There were better plot twists though but again, it would've been more impactful if those relationships were focused on rather than Isolde's need to be filled 24/7

This book was worth breaking my buying ban for! Though it also ended in a cliffhanger and now comes the endless waiting. There was more plot than the first, and also the smut was still plentiful.

I loved the reincarnation aspect! I love a good enemies to lovers that also had a realization of a previous life. The way Isolde come into her own and learn her place as queen. I loved the whole traitor within the trusted. Also that twist at the end!

I had a hard time getting into this book. I really enjoyed King of Battle and Blood and was looking forward to continuing the story of Adrian and Isolde. However, I found this book disappointing. There was just so much fighting between the two characters and zero plot to enjoy.

A plot so crazy that at one point I was convinced she would birth baby Renesmee 2.0, this time 1/4 witch, 1/4 human, 1/4 vampire, 1/4 werewolf thingy. Like this was a bad Twilight fanfic where the main ship was Jedward.
But alas, that wasn’t it. But boy oh boy the plot we did get wasn’t much better. I had to literally send messages to my friends where I was dying laughing retelling this story.

Side note, my favorite quotes were:
“Sit on my face” and “Take my blood and fill me with your come”.

I’d strongly recommend for a group-read so you too can laugh with your friends.
1.5 stars just for the laughs
