God Isolde is the whiniest, most irritating person ever. Poor Adrian, I feel sorry for him being stuck with her!

SO many reveals, and so much more depth to the world, story and characters! Absolutely riveting! I'm loving Adrian and Isolde more and more, and while it was frustrating that this book wasn't the end to this series, I'm glad that there'll be more!
So many emotions were evoked, between loss, excitement, love, joy, frustration... It's like a roller coaster ride. I cannot WAIT for Isolde to get access to her powers, and to see what she'll do with them...

I definitely liked the first book better, the storyline was much better. This one didnt have me hooked like King of Battle and Blood did. I definitely still want to continue with the series when book 3 eventually comes out. I just feel like their are to many unanswered questions and holes in the story currently. I also figured out who the traitors were pretty early on. So that's always a bad thing to me. I wanna be kept guessing for longer.
This book had a lot of stuff happen, but it seemed that only the last 4 chapters or so actually had anything to do with the plot. I wanted so badly to see a strong power couple in Adrian and Isolde but I really saw a lot of miscommunication and a good chunk of unnecessary "steamy time". I thought they were better than that. I think maybe I would read a small side story of Sorin and Daroc, but I definitely don't think I'd be willing to read anything else of this universe. I'm bummed, to say the least, but maybe its just me and I missed what was meant?
