The amount of sex is kinda confusing but honestly the last four chapters is worth read. I cant wait to see if he actually loses control
Not engaging. Isolde is more like an annoying kid trying to rule than a queen. There’s a lot wrong with this book considering the first was slightly bearable.
I really need to start making sure all the books are out before I start a new series
audio// like. the plot eh. the characters annoying and like not good people. and like... I swear they had graphic sex every other chapter. I'm so tired. I skipped like half the book to get through those scenes.
ALSO they left a woman in a cell for lying about sleeping with the main guy for like a book and half. forgot about her and let her be tortured and starved. LIKE CRAZY MOVE

Queen of Myth & Monsters is definitely a middle trillogy plot builder, pacing severely slowed down compared to book one and as much as I enjoyed it, it was a little too slow for my liking and the betrayals too easily guessed. I loved seeing Isolde coming into herself, acpting ger past and the changes to her present situation. The story ended on a major but predictable cliffhanger ang I'll definitely reading the 3rd book for the conclusion.
I think FMC lost her backbone or something? Idk she got annoying
okay, i was warned ahead of time that this book made no sense AND IT DIDN'T. the first book had something resembling a plot line that made sense. in this one, stuff just happens at random times and, again, make no sense. here's a list of said things:
-suddenly Isolde can turn into a dog but Adrian turns her into a vampire anyway?
-some random witch hunter shows up and claims to be a product of the same goddess who created Adrian but he literally didn't move the story forward at all
-SORIN IS A TRAITOR?? this one made no sense but also pissed me off because, out of everyone, it has to be the gay vampire?!?! i know the fact that him and Isolde were so close made the betrayal even more shocking and painful but SORIN IS MY BABY YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME
-One of Isolde's ladies in waiting is killed, though I forget which one is was because THEIR NAMES START WITH THE SAME LETTER. Whether is was Violetta of Vessna, it was homophobic to kill her because she and Killian were just getting a romance going. i know i hate him in the last book but my guy redeemed himself so he should've gotten lucky at least once. ANYWAY
-Isolde was pregnant when she died as Yessenia. okay? why is this important? it's just another thing for her to cry about.
-ANNA WAS REVENA THE WHOLE TIME?? I UNDERSTAND NOTHING. also that whole last conversation between Isolde and Anna made no sense because they speak in riddles. something about men ruining everything, which is valid, but it felt like nothing was explained
-the ending itself was very abrupt. it felt like it ended in the middle of a chapter and i was left just sitting there like...WHAT
now i'm not saying i didn't enjoy the book at all. there was of course, the spice that i came for. i will say though, i feel like they just bang for no reason. like they have nothing else to do so they might as well. which, they're both hot so they might as well.
this book has everything (except for plotlines):
-hot vampires
-queer vampires
-betrayal
-a vampire that also turns into a dog
-people that die for no reason
-a witch who hates men and that's her whole personality
