(Quick, easy, time passing short stories. Alex Rider is my childhood when I was like 10/11, so this ate)

If you thought one Alex Rider story wasn’t enough, how about seven?! In an action-packed series of mini-adventures, readers get to enjoy more of the teen spy as he escapes death, bringing down bad buys with his wit and clever strategies. Just when you thought this series couldn’t get better, Anthony Horowitz creates an incredible collection of short stories to wet our palettes until the next epic adventure is released!
"Alex Rider was in need of a vacation. But it was the last thing he was going to get."
And he's back! I loved this book very much. It was fun reading shorter versions of Alex's missions. As always, Tom is a great friend, Jack worries for Alex, Alex nearly dies, and Blunt and Jones act as horrible and immoral human beings and use Alex as a weapon.

I've always enjoyed the Alex Rider books as a quick, easy-read escape. I'm not a huge fan of short stories, so this wasn't my favorite installment of the series, although I did enjoy 4 of the 7 stories. A few of them were EXTREMELY short (15-ish pages) glimpses into Alex's non-spy happenings, and I found those pretty dull. I did like that some of the stories were in third person and others were in first.
Seventh and final story was Tea with Smithers. We made it lads x
Short and sweet, I liked learning about Smithers, would read more about his time in Cambridge. But hindsight on books like these (Harry Potter another example) makes me super uncomfortable about how they describe fat people. Also a bit of Churchill glorification in this one, unsurprising but unimpressed.

It just got so cliché and boring, it was so predictable. It's just not my kind of book
