And isn't it silly, to love the way someone's things look like next to yours? Little bits and pieces of a life lived in parallel.

This book was absolutely adorable, I adored both Stella and Luka, I thought their relationship and friendship was so adorable I couldn't get enough.I really enjoyed the whole christmas tree farm idea, I liked the small town vibes and how the community was altogether as a whole. I adored the friendship between Beckett, Stella and Layla and how cute was the box of kittens I think I fell in love with those three little balls of fluff the most. That being said I did have a few problems, I hated not having Luca's POV until right at the end I struggle to sometimes connect with the story when we are only getting one side of the feelings and actions and I think it would have been nice to see how Luca felt throughout the book. I also found myself wanting to bang their heads together the way half of this book could have been solved was through communication and it was a struggle to not get frustrated with them. That being said I am enjoying this little series so far and I can't wait to read the next book in this series, I am hoping that they only get better from here!

i really wanted to give this book more stars. i was obsessed w the writing style, the casual intimacy and the cosy feel of the set up but by 70% of the book i felt like i still didnt really know luka, the plot seemed flimsy and contrived and the way they were asking me to stretch my disbelief when it came to stella’s stupidity about not seeing what was right in front of her reached toe-curling, gritted teeth levels of frustration. all in all the end was a bit underwhelming for me. def made me smile enough times to rec it to a friend and i will check out beckett and layla’s books for sure

This was honestly adorable. It starts in November and shows the farm’s prep for Christmas, so I’m not quite sure if it’s more fall or winter holiday vibes, but I digress. There’s mischief happening at Lovelight Farms, and the FMC owner isn’t bringing in as much revenue as she needs to keep everything running properly. She enters a contest on IG that could win her farm $100,000 cash prize, but she listed that she owned the farm with her boyfriend, knowing she didn’t actually have one. Now she has to suck it up and ask her best friend to be in a fake relationship with her for the week the influencer from IG will be at the farm.

Normally, I don’t love fake dating. It usually ends up including the miscommunication trope and a third act breakup of some sort, neither of which I love. But this one…the love they harbored for each other was obvious from the beginning. So we’re watching a nine year friendship where they have had a mutual attraction they’ve never acted on, bloom into the romantic relationship they’ve both always wanted. So we end up avoiding those messy, often overused tropes mentioned above, and I was so grateful.
