thank you NetGalley for the ARC :) i LOVED this and would love to get a copy for my kiddos to hold in person/reread and for my library kiddos.. the artwork is beautiful and the messages are so needed- creativity and wonder and seeing things differently. my favorite is just the reiteration of 'you matter' what you see matters, what you share matters.. just LOVED this

The story is sweet and short. The illustrations are beautiful. It is about looking at the wonder of the world around you.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for this digital eARC! :)

This was very cute and I’m sure was much anticipated due to its author! I really loved the art most however! The story was cute and the message was nice, helping children be mindful of nature. It also showed how important and fun it can be to work together, since we all have different strengths and views.

I would definitely recommend it to friends and colleagues that have young children. But, I will not be adding it to my office, as I don’t think it would have use for me in therapy with the child clients I work with. Overall, it’s very cute though! And I think it would be a great part of a series on mindfulness for children. :)

Looking at the world with a child’s viewpoint, young readers (and their parents) see the many beauties we often overlook in our busy lives. You will be drawn into the world around you and come out with a fresh respect for even the tiniest details that surround you. The Illustrations are absolutely stunning! From the rich colors and attention to detail to the great forest and depths of the sea, you are drawn into even the tiniest wonders you see. While the entire book is full of beauty and detail, the forest pages just drew me in and created a sense of calmness.

I thought this book was sweet and beautifully written.  The message seems to be more for the parent than the child though.  My one concern:  the illustrations try to be inclusive by depicting kids of all races and abilities.  However, the girl in the wheelchair never gets to do anything…she can’t go up the tree house ladder, she can’t swim in the ocean.  Let’s depict an inclusive world to go with our diversely drawn kiddos!  Give the tree house a ramp!  Let the kid use a walker by the ocean.  If you’re going to make an effort to be inclusive…let’s actually include people!

(The World Needs) The Wonder You See

The title says it. It brings us back to how a child sees the world around them. How children view it, without any influence that will come upon them later in life. A view that fades when we grow up. The message of The Wonder You See is allowing children not to lose it, that ability; and for adults, hinting them how to remind themselves of that precious aptitude.

Beautiful message of hope. Kindness. Goodwill.  Spreading positivity. Acceptance. Welcomeness.
Beautiful illustrations, rich in colors and elements.

A reminder to be there for each other, to actually pay attention and observe what's around you.

Wonder, wander, observe, admire.
To never forget the richness of what exists.
