This was such a cozy read. I love Rosie so much. She creates such a safe space for her self that she realizes that she’s not really living. When her late aunt leaves her bookstore in Scotland she doesn’t even think twice and starts a new chapter of her life. Alexander is so sweet! He’s quiet and kind and he saves puffins! These two together are just magic and the sweetest coziest little story. I definitely recommend this one.

This was the first Tricia O'Malley book I've read (audiobook), and after enjoying this one, I'll be reading more at some point.
It had everything I could ask for in a romance novel... swoony Scotsman, humor, banter, sarcasm, magical book shop, small town vibes, playful competition. Bonus points for song and book references.... Double points for puffins!
I enjoyed the voice actors (Amy Landon and Will Watt), and felt that they "embodied" their characters really well. My one complaint is that when he did an American accent, meant to be imitating her, it sounded like a Valley Girl, and nothing like Amy Landon's version of the same character. It wasn't enough to ruin the story for me though! It just would have been better if the male voice actor could've done an impression of the female voice actress' rendition of her character. Instead, they were very different.
I would absolutely read this one again!

"I wanted her to read books on my couch while I worked on my computer. Is that weird? That I wanted her to just BE there... next to me ... quietly existing in my space."

Really cute! Not a fan of the audiobook version, but that's personal preference. A lovely, sweet read :)
So many things that I love in one book - romance, humour, a book shop, small town charm as well as video, tabletop and citizen science games!
