Okay, so tell me... what the hell am I supposed to do till the next book comes out!?! *hugs her arms around herself, gently rocking*

Ahem... okay let's get on with the review

Worldbuilding was good. All scenes and environments were well detailed, leaving just enough for your imagination to add the final touches.

Character development was, as always, great! Risk has grown a lot since the ending of book 3 and while she still has a lot of issues being around men, she is able to hold her own thanks to 5 months of training with her sister. Both Quinn and Lazarus have established who they are, what they want and what they mean to each other... yeah, this book is pretty major for both of them.
And that's all I'm going to say about that!

Pacing and flow were very good. Great balance between conversations and action. Prepare to be swept away from start till finish, seriously, I'm not kidding, there is always something happening or some important discussion going on to keep the story moving smoothly. Very well done.

The book itself is well written with no (noticeable) errors. And yes, there is sex described (if that is important to you).

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and all in all, I'm suffering from a major book hangover now *sigh*. Can't wait for the next to come out, it will be spectacular.
This series is dark, but so well written, I really do recommend it to everyone who wants to read something a tad different for once. But beware, you'll be emotionally invested, craving for more and will never look at pirates the same :D

Reads like a filler book. Nothing happens and when it does, is just confusing and kinda dumb tbh (the action scenes are so ... Empty) Still love Lazarus and Quinn's interactions but that's about it.
I find the characters to be very plain, very i-have-one-overly-comical-personality-trait. Axe? She's a pirate who likes drinking and.... That's it. Vaughn? He's big and gentle and... nothing else. Most of the characters play so little part in the story that i honestly forgot they existed 98% of the time.
So yeah, not terrible, just not great! Still enjoyed the read like i do filler beach episodes on animes lmao
NOTE: Also, please, characters, use lube on ass stuff. In DRY??? Ouch.
