A weirdly formatted short story trying to be peotry by repeating itself over, and over, and over, and over.
Very American, very predictable (I figured out the "twist" about 1/3 in to the book) and the relationship between the main characters felt yucky and not at all relatable.

Strange, beautiful story written in verse. Me (Moth) was beautiful and poetic and unlike anything I’ve ever read.

And that ending! I didn’t see it coming at all.

Wow. I was not ready for that ending.

This is a novel written in verse and the prose is incredible.

You should go into this as blindly as possible. Beautifully written. Intricate story (you NEED to pay attention to the imagery). This hits even harder as an adult.

Incredible. Heartbreaking. Intense.

Beautifully written and twisty. A lot going on and not my thing.

Beautiful poetry tells a story haunted by ancestral ghosts and unexpected connections. It is about identity, love, and much more.
