Gripping story. The characters are enjoyable. Good spy thriller.

Sam Capra is a CIA agent who has refocused his life on his 7 months pregnant wife, Lucy, and their unborn child. Sam receives a call from Lucy while he’s in a meeting, frantically telling him to leave the office. As Sam walks outside, he sees his wife speed away in a car with a very strange man as his office building explodes. Since Sam is the only survivor of the bombing and his wife is missing, the CIA assumes he and Lucy are involved. Sam must now escape the agency and find his wife and child.

Adrenaline is an extremely fast-paced novel with a few unexpected twists and turns. I thought the pace of the plot often took away from the story, but the quality of the characters made this book readable. Occasionally, there were storyline inconsistencies and completely unrealistic circumstances, but they were easily overlooked after being plowed over by the hurried plot. I would only recommend this book as a vacation read – it’s quick, forgettable, and not impeccably put together, but it’s fun.

THIS BOOK WAS SO AMAZING! the plot

The parkour was a nice detail.

Adrenaline by Jeff Abbott certainly has a fitting title. The book is packed with action and characters in extreme situations making insane choices to keep themselves and others alive. While part of the title comes from the main character’s hobby of parkour, which I think is ridiculous, it fits well. Sam Capra is an innocent CIA Agent framed for a heinous crime. Readers are struggling with Sam as he comes to grip with his life’s massive changes. When he starts to right the wrongs he was saddled with it’s a non-stop thrill ride. While the science involved in the “evil” weapon is a little hokey and the last twist was obvious its still a very good book and leads into many more options. Overall, a fun, fast paced action novel!

Entertaining fast-paced thriller. Complicated plot with lots of twists and turns. Good guy goes rogue when his family is in danger.

A good thriller, setting up for a series. Action, intrigue, betrayal...A good triple-combo!

I liked Panic a lot more even though I can't remember the plot line of it at all.
This book was good enough, but very long!
It was good that it was fast paced though.
I can see it being turned into a movie.
