Great read. I liked all the characters and the storyline was fab.

This book just wasn’t for me - I’ve seen lots of people enjoying short reads and thought that it’d be perfect to bridge the gap when I’m not sure what novel to read next but unfortunately I just didn’t find it very interesting.

I vividly remember that the first book I ever reviewed on #goodreads was #iletyougo by #clairemackintosh ! I was sooo glued to the book for its #fastpaced nail-biting plot and that ending Oh my God ! What even was that ! After so many years the book still remains my favourite #thriller of all times .. Her second novel, I See You, was a decent one too . So when I saw that there is a short story by this author I really could not give it a miss .

#thedonor is just about 112 pgs long but it is power packed ! Great things come in small packages and you cannot miss-out on it if you like a) Thrillers b) Novellas c) fast paced reads
This book was part of the #quickreads2020 initiative by the #readingagency . If you did not know what this is , it is an entry point to new genres and authors and done to re-ignite or build the joy of reading . ‘Quick Reads provide a route into reading that prioritises great story telling and adult-focused content while ensuring the books are written in an accessible and easy to read style’(the reading agency)

I love it when authors are able to pack so much into a short novella and thats why I love reading them ..

I have a soft spot for Claire Mackintosh’s novels after reading “I Let You Go’ a few years back, so I was more than willing to give over the couple of hours needed when I came across this short story. The story is about what happens when the family of a recent heart transplant teenager is contacted by the mother of the teenage donor. It’s solid rather than sensational, but has an interesting twist that is worth waiting for

As ‘quick reads’ go, I enjoyed this one immensely. Good storyline, easy to follow, exciting. Read in a little over an hour.

It wasn’t awful, the idea behind it was good and there was so much potential but the writing is where it fell flat for me. I think I just have high standards when it comes to writing because of other books I have read, but this didn’t work for me.

This was my first of the {r Quick Reads.
This is a brilliant 112 page thriller about a young girl having a hesrt transplant.
Unfortunately when the donors mother gets in contact it opens up a Pandoras Box.
This can easily be read in one sitting, I was blown away by the ending!!!

I feel like the events within this book are unfathomable in any realistic situation
