This little quick read was so easy to get through but also filled with suspense, it didn’t seem to go too slowly or too quickly either! You can kind of predict where things are going to go, but it doesn’t spoil the story at all.

Lizzie, Steve, and their daughter Meg have had a really tough time with Meg’s childhood cancer, and then her life-saving heart transplant comes along and gives her a new chance at life.

However, against the protocol to remain nameless, the mother of the donor gets in touch to learn more about Meg, and tensions rise from there!

Since it is so small (genuinely around 100 pages), I won’t say too much, but ‘The Donor’ is really worth the read. From start to finish, I was hooked! I can’t wait to read more Quick Reads!

Short stories are very underrated. It’s a tough read for someone grieving but overall a good short story. It’s fast paced, dramatic and it has a good twist.
