Unfortunately, I didn't care for this one. None of the conflicts or deep-rooted issues are really addressed or worked through. None of the character motivations made sense and certain subplots (i.e. the failed marriage) were such strange inserts that seemed to be of great importance but were not really developed and just used as a way to move the plot in a certain direction without making any sense. Personality-wise, no one stood out, they were all pretty bad and not memorable at all. The pacing was too slow. And I HATED the name Tait, it bugged me every time I saw it.

A good story, with solid humor and only moderately corny dialogue and music references. Some real bangers in there that set the scene, (My Maria, for example) but felt like we were thinking about music too much for its overall lack of relevance to the plot or characters.

Really did not like the overuse of page breaks either. No scene change, no time skip, not even jumping a different conversation - just a page break for… emphasis? suspense? I feel like there’s gotta be a better way to do that. Hopefully it came across more effective in the physical editions than it did on kindle.

it‘s cute.

I didn’t know that cowboy romances were allowed to be set on ranches that weren’t active but here we are

[4/5 ★★★★☆] “I want to put down roots here; beside you, across a pond from you, somewhere new with you, I don’t care. You’ve made me want to do that, to plant myself somewhere and flourish.” description

Tarah DeWitt lo volvió a hacer, no sé qué tienen sus libros pero de repente parpadeo y ya estoy a nada de acabarlos, amamos.
