Best. Cliffhanger. Ever!! Or the worst, depending on how you look at it. But, let's be serious. I sat down with it at about 1:00 in the afternoon with one mission in mind-Finish it. And now, at 9:30 at night, I'm sitting here writing a review of a book written by possibly the best storyteller of modern times. 'Mightier Than the Sword' is revenge, love, hate and justice all spun into one absolutely magnificent tale told by our favourite author. Or mine.
Mightier Than the Sword will leave you hanging on every word, every letter that is to be presented.
Jeffrey Archer is truly an artist with the world as his canvas and words as his paint.
Can't wait for the next book!

I do enjoy this book series. Jeffery Archer is an excellent writer even though he loves to leave these books with a big cliffhanger. It is fun to follow the Clifton family and I will continue to read these book as long as Archer writes them.

I received this book through First Reads and I'm so glad I did. I have become quite invested in these characters and thoroughly enjoy Jeffrey Archer's story telling style. I love the good versus evil and how the characters handle attacks and difficult situations. Harry, Emma...all the main characters are genuinely good people and I just fell in love with them.

I can hardly wait to dig into "Cometh the Hour"!

It's nice to read this book.

Another enjoyable read from the Clifton Chronicles. Off course it ends on a cliffhanger. Can't wait to read the next book.

I can't imagine Jeffrey Archer ever gets bored. Not with all this stuff going on in his head. Bravo!

I had a hard time finishing this book, it was a bit of a slog. I found the pace slow. The story line involving Major Fisher and Lady Virginia is getting very old and I hope the next book puts this to rest. I am also not a big fan of the details around Giles’ election tribulations. I did enjoy the story line involving Anatoly Babakov.

This is the fifth book in a series called the Clifton Chronicles. Personally I found that this book could be read as a standalone, some may disagree though. The ending finished on a cliffhanger. At some point I’ll probably read the next one in this series but not sure when.

I felt that the writing was interesting and provided a good fictional story. I thought the story provided suspense and intrigue. It follows two influential families - the Cliftons and Barringtons. We are given an insight into the power play that seems to accompany people of wealth. They’re very accomplished, in this book at least, at manipulating a situation to benefit themselves. Having said that though those who needed to be taken down a peg or two were. For some people the writing style may not be their cup of tea but I read Archer’s books mainly because of the stories he weaves. A great read.
