Mario’s little girl, Anita, dies due to cancer. Then, Mario’s wife leaves him. He has nothing to lose, so he takes on a few hitman jobs, and finds out he’s actually pretty good at it. He decides if he can make enough money to pay all the medical bills, then he can start a new life with his wife. However, he’s provided an even bigger opportunity to steal money from a drug cartel. He’ll either end up rich or dead, either way it keeps him busy so he stops thinking about his deceased daughter and his wife. This was a very dark novel with some supernatural occurrences. It is also violent and gory at times. However, the writing reminds me of S.A. Cosby; and I was completely enthralled.
