Bewilderment is the main word that comes to mind when describing this book. The speculative aspects were terrifying and thought provoking. This is the type of horror I really struggle with I came to realize lol. Overall, I enjoyed. Especially reflecting on being Mexican in the south, near the border with rampant white supremacy. I do agree about desiring more intentionality with the mythification of the cartel.
