What a conclusion! I adore this trilogy with every fibre of my being. With characters that are complex and thoroughly interesting, a fast-paced, action-packed plot that keeps raising the stakes with every book, and beautiful writing that leaves you unable to put the book down, this trilogy is seriously underrated.
I normally feel underwhelmed with the last book in a series and I saw a few reviews say the same about this. Except This Vicious Cure did not do that for me. It continued to raise the stakes, made me FEEL things *shudders* and ended on a spectacular high. I feel thoroughly satisfied with that ending.
With this trilogy, Emily Suvada has cemented herself as one of my favourite authors and I cannot wait to read anything else she writes!

I didn't hate the book, but I had a really hard time getting into it because every other chapter is from Jun Bei's POV and I just couldn't relate to or like her. I planned to push through, but it was a library book so I needed to return it.
I'll probably go back and read it eventually though, because I really liked the series overall.

" Have you ever seen a farm, Lee? Do you even know where food comes from?” “Of course I do,” Leoben says. “When one tomato loves another tomato very much…” Anna rolls her eyes, tossing a chunk of bread at him. "

So I finished the series and I feel sort of numb. I loved all the books more or less and this one was definitely less. The second one was so freaking good but this one fell sort of flat. I loved the dual perspective but it also made me feel like we missed out on some important character development.
I really would have liked to see more of Cole in this book. And some of the characters annoyed me a bit. I loved Loeben tho.
The plot twists just keep coming and the one in this one actually made me really surprised. It was a good book over all but I would have liked to get a bit more closure at the end.
