This is my favorite of the Adventure Time side stories. It still didn't really feel like the show, but it was a sweet story on its own and the artwork was adorable! Hooray for Peebles!

Loved this installment in the series. It has a fun plot line and the illustrations are beautiful. Overall I would and do recommend this graphic novel series to my friends who are a fan of the show. Can't wait to see what the next book will hold. Here is the breakdown of what I thought

CHARACTERS:
The quirk and personality of the characters translate beautifully from the TV show to the graphic novel. Everything feels consistent and authentic.

THE PLOT: It was a cute story with a nice mystery. The occasional moments of Peppermint Butler's craziness added a nice comedic flair. Felt cohesive throughout and tied together nicely at the end.

THE ART: The art was beautiful and vibrant. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the break in the black and white theme from the past novels but it worked well for this story. PB and her friends have such whimsical homes and stories that the use of color felt appropriate.

I really enjoyed it. Peppermint Butler was my favorite in this comic!!! Ahhh!
I need to purchase the rest of these since I only have this one and Fionna and Cake!!

Peppermint Butler... I just don't get Pep...

It was cute! The art is a little different and took me a bit of adjusting. Princess Fern and Forest Princess are my faves.

Peppermint butler is my favourite.

Princess Bubblegum and Peppermint Butler go on a quest to recharge the gems that keep the Candy Kingdom safe. When they get to Spirit Hollow they realize something is wrong!

Ok, so usually I try not to review many cartoon-related graphic novels because I read a lot of them with my younger sister, but this is the exception. This graphic novel is the whole reason that I started watching Adventure Time in the first place, and I just love it so much. Its not the best adventure time graphic novel that I have read, but it certainly is the most memorable to me.
