It was surprising I thought I knew the ending but I had no clue.

Prepub. Due out in February 2021.

Great thriller about a missing girl and the resulting drama for three residents of a brownstone, each with their own reason for feeling guilty about the teens disappearance, some more insidious than others.

The book was spellbinding and the narrator was wonderful. I’m amazed at how Jasmine (?) could change her accent, I truly felt I was listening to different people.

This is a heartbreaking story and having it told in pieces drew out the suspense.

My favorite way to read a book is to hold it in my hands, but I think from now on, for stories set in the UK, I’ll use Audible if there’s a British narrator.

The Downstairs Neighbours is a thriller I picked almost as an afterthought. I had no expectations going in and I ended up being surprised—in a good way! Cooper’s debut is a captivating read, featuring mystery and secrets in equal measure.

My first Helen Cooper novel. I enjoyed it. Cooper made sure that I was constantly wondering what would happen next. For once the police aren't useless in a thriller.
I did not see some of the pieces coming together until almost the end. Which is how a thriller should be in my opinion. Keeping the reader on their toes.
It's hard to explain all of the character's personalities and morals. There wasn't a specific character that stood out. Mild swearing and mild sexual content.
