There just seemed to be too much going on to follow, all the different points of view.

Plot was way too messy, too many POVs, too many useless things attempted to tie into the story line.

Solid domestic thriller involving a missing teen whose parents are hiding major secrets from each other, with several mysterious downstairs neighbors of different time periods thrown into the mix. Unusual for its ending.

I loved this tense mystery thriller with all the twists and turns! What a fantastic debut!

The story starts with the disappearance of 17 year old Freya who lives with her parents Paul and Steph in a large apartment. Downstairs live Chris and Megan in the basement and Emma in the smaller adjoining apartment.

It is told in short pacy chapters from the viewpoint of each of these characters.

At the same time there is a parallel story, set 25 years earlier, told from the viewpoint of 16 year old Kate living with her mum and new boyfriend.

As the storyline progresses secrets, lies and mysterious pasts begin to unravel. The reader starts to suspect each character along the way. Who knows what happened to Freya? Someone knows more than they appear to!
There were so many twists and turns and I loved finding out more about each character's back story as I read. I couldnt stop turning the pages to find out more. The ending was very satisfying and a great conclusion. I would definitely recommend this book and I'll be looking out for more books by this author.

This was fine. Nothing fantastic. And it really fell flat at the end to me
