I thought it was a cute Novella. It was a cute back story to Dez and Jasmine.
It was nice seeing Layla and Zayne in this and also Roth! How long had he been watching over her? Wow.

She's gone and nailed it again!!!

Not much to say about this short story. I like how it started to introduce the characters in book 1 and I am eager to start reading that one now.

This book was really good. Since I haven't had a chance to read White Hot Kiss Yet I was a bit lost but I enjoyed reading about Jasmine and Dez. I'm glad that their was a more realistic romance in this book. If Jasmine had just instantly forgiven Dez I would have had to put the book down. Instead Jennifer had me on the edge of my seat wondering if Jasmine and Dez would end up together.

I'm curious about many more aspects of this book. I wonder who the guy with the snake tattoo is and how he ties into the book. I want to know more about Layla and Zayne. I was also surprised at the amound of sexiness in the book. It's definitely more NA then YA. O.o

Edit:

This book lost a star for me but it was still good. I like Jasmine and Dez.

I'm glad that they were able to overcome the time spent apart and love each other.

I'm also glad that they were able to accept Layla.

I didn't remember that it was Layla who basically got Jasmine and Dez together. It's funny what you remember and what you don't.

I also love that Jasmine named the little demon thing Herbert. lol.

Edit:

This book seems to decline each time I read it. Honesty I mostly read this to get a peek at young Layla. She’s more interesting to me than Jasmine and Dez.

I had forgotten that Roth appeared in this book. He hasn’t seemed to have changed much.

Jasmine was a bit of bitch to Layla at first but I was glad she warmed up.

A nice sweet and spicy opener, I am very intrigued to begin devouring this series. Loved Jasmine immediately and I can already tell that I'm gonna love Layla. As usual I was completely drawn in by JLA's storytelling, she is such a master at it.

It's rare to find something so new in the paranormal novel landscape and I am very anxious and intrigued to see where the series will take me.

This is a novella, the start of the Dark Element's series, we get Jaz and Dez. Dez returns and he claims her, and now they have a week to see where everything leads. This story is a great start, I can't wait to meet Layla, Zayne and Roth.
