There was no need for these characters to be like 16/17 though, I pictured them as like early to mid twenties and I found that worked a lot better. Also not a huge fan of cliffhangers so a lil' bummed about that but that's just cause I don't like reading series haha

I haven't even watched the show yet but I could perfectly envision all the cast members donning their respective characters' little quirks and traits playing in my mind. I mean I literally get it why Kaz is most people's fav lol. It is his amorality, brooding cynicism and a dangerous edge masking his inner layer of vulnerability that makes him human. This is what makes everyone go weak.

Inej, the Wraith, was living in the menagerie after being kidnapped and sold into slavery. Kaz purchased her contract and now she is working to pay back the contract price. Inej has skills that come in handy. She is silent, can run, climb, and kill. She is the woman behind the man, that is Kaz Brekker.
Jesper is a gambler. He can't sit still, he loves his guns, and he loves gambling. His gambling has gotten him into a lot of trouble, and he needs the money to pay off some serious debts he has wracked up.
Wylan is an explosives expert, he is also the son of the man that made the deal with Kaz. He is useful in his ability to make things blow up, and the ability to be used as a hostage.
Nina is a heartrender, she is a Grisha with the ability to make a person's heart stop. She is extremely valuable as an ally for her ability and for her relationship to Matthias. Nina is determined to get Matthias out of prison, since she put him there.
Matthias is a Druskelle, he hunts Grisha for the crime of birth. He is in prison because he trusted Nina, even though she was everything he hates, and now he is paying the price.
Together this band of misfits must come together and achieve the impossible, get Bo Yul-Bayur out of the ice prison, while not killing each other. Love and hate are such a fine line.
