This book was a delightful, light-hearted read filled with love, curses, and family dynamics. The magical elements blended seamlessly with the star-crossed lovers trope, all delivered with a perfect touch of humor—absolutely chef’s kiss! The spice level was just right, and I’m crossing my fingers for a second book to continue Delia and Max’s story. This was my first Carly Bloom read, but it definitely won’t be my last!

Super cute! I wish there had been like 3 or 4 more sex scenes. Loved all the characters and their relationships with each other.

What do you do when your a hexed witch who’s family lost their powers but you didn’t know you were a hexed witch until you broke the curse?

This was a fun story of how Delia broke her families hex in the most hilarious accidental way. I loved the silliness of the magic but also the uniqueness of the witches magic in this story. This book was what I consider an easy read but in the best ways. I loved Delia and Max as characters. Some of the “texas” or “southern” things seemed outlandish especially as someone who has lived in a small town in Texas and also lived in the south her entire life. If you are looking for a cute witchy read this is a good one. I would love to see a sequel book involving other characters because I feel like there is so much more the author could do with the world she built.

The book dragged, the “how did she break the hex 😱!!” was the biggest non-mystery and the FMC felt closer to 16 than 30

3.5. rounding up to 4!

Hot Hex Boyfriend had so much charm - loveable characters, especially Delia and Max, a little magical mystery centered in a small Texas town, a full supporting cast of quirky friends and family, which I really enjoyed. I thought there were moments between Delia and Max that were so swoony and sweet and I loved seeing Max let down his guard little by little to start believing in love. However, the pacing of this book was honestly baffling - it was so slow to start and then the last 30% was nonstop action and tying things up. I think if you are looking for an easy cozy fall read and you are here more for the witchy vibes than anything else, this will be a hit for you! (I am always here for the vibes, to be clear!)
