I just love these books and this is one of my favorites!
L.M. Montgomery's novels have the innate ability to make me stop and slow down; see the beauty in the simple and often passed over moments of life. Colors seem a bit deeper, life seems a bit more enchanted, and the future looks more hopeful.
This book was no exception. It was beautiful. I love Anne Shirley, and I think that this novel came around just when I needed it. Anne of the Island chronicles Anne's journey to and through college at Redmond.
For Anne - life changes quickly but she never gives up on the hope and beauty that she KNOWS is in the world. She meets a whole new cast of characters and learns some new and important lessons. To be honest, I wanted to move right into Miss Patty's place with Anne, and her college friends. Full of joy, happiness, sadness, love, kindness, and growth - this book takes you through four years and brings you out the other side feeling a little bit different than when you started. Maybe you are a bit older. A bit wiser. A bit kinder. And maybe it makes you reflect on your own life - and how you have changed and stayed the same.

Anne was a total heartbreaker in this one! My emotions could barely handle it!
Anne of Green Gables books are the best pick-me-up, heart warming books out there. So many quotable lines! So many funny one-liners! The sweetest romance!
