Nothing beats the charm of Anne of Green Gables, but I love growing up with her, too. Sweet Anne. Dear Anne. Sometimes, thick headed Anne—there are a couple of times I wanted to knock some sense into her!

You know? I remember loving this book when I first read it, and re-read it in high school, and re-re-read it in my early twenties, but this time around I wasn't quite as starry-eyed about it. Basically everything that doesn't involve Anne and Gilbert (excluding some great scenes with Diana, Ruby, and Jane and some fun college stuff involving Anne's three roommates) felt like filler. The letters from Davy are particularly tedious (as I mentioned in my review for Anne of Avonlea - I was never really on the Davy/Dora bandwagon to begin with and his misspelled missives of boyhood antics are pretty tedious).

Still though - a bonus star for the last chapter.

Even when she is frustrating you can't help but still love Anne. Very good narration by Beth Kesler.

This was another fun romp with our beloved Anne. She's at college with her girlfriends, and all of our favorite characters back at Avonlea. Anne is growing up, becoming a woman and is just as lovable as always.

These books are always delightful, and I greatly enjoy the brief adventures they represent-they're not overly taxing, and Anne is just as beloved by me as she is by her friends and (short-lived) enemies.

I can't wait to see where Anne's adventure will lead, and I will stick with this series until the end!

I recommend this book to any looking for a light-culturally important read, especially if you've read the two earlier books-this is best if you have the lead-in of Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea.

My favourite of the series so far, Anne getting slightly disappointed with life but keeping her good spirits and spark is relatable and inspiring. And I was so here for the friendship and romance in this one.
